Foglights

InVision is a totally remote company. As such we always needed to be on top of our documentation which could be challenging at times for a rapidly growing company. Each engineering team at InVision worked like an independent startup and worked on different projects often multiple projects at a time. As such, it was hard to maintain several different sources of information updates for these projects and no centralized mechanism for tracking the progress on a single project that has multiple teams working on building solutions for different parts of the product. My team’s goal was to build a unified product that allowed centralized visibility of any given project at any point in time. And that’s how Foglights was born.

Foglights soon grew to become the platform that managed the entire engineering organization of the company with features and interactive dashboards for project management, incident management and organization structure for all of engineering. We also built integrations with Slack, GitHub, Zapier, etc.
