Today there are many companies that are all trying to solve the complex job search problem by building better job search engines but none of them really cater to enable the applicant to manage the job search process better. There is a lot of information to keep track of as part of the job search process and no structured way to do it. That is where Jobu comes in.
Jobu is designed as a web application that allows the user to manage their job search like a sales funnel with different stages of the applications process, such as, tracking job postings, applications, interviews and offers while managing contact leads who can assist the applicant during the process. Leads can be categorized similar to sales leads as hot, warm and cold, where a hot lead is someone the user is well acquainted with and can expect a referral from while a cold lead is someone the user just met and can build a connection with. Jobu also lets the user track interviews and keep notes and track offers and compare them.
I am currently on the lookout for engineers interested in building this with me. Hit me up if you’re interested.
